My visions...
I try to look at the world from above, very top .
I have visions of the stratosphere satellite areas of the planet.
From a distance they appears like all the same but going to look at them you can see their uniqueness and particularity.
From a satellite image, without geographical references, you would struggle to distinguish one city from another. It 's like watching a huge crowd from a tower high: all of them seem equal.
Thousands of small figures all seemingly identical but actually all completely different. Each one represents a piece of history of the universe, unique and singular, unrepeatable, not replicable. Individual stories that intersect with those of other generating connections and interferences that determine the flow of time and events.
Similarly, from a distance, my works can give the impression of a completely equal (the unique color smoothes out differences) then, approaching, it turns out that this is not an all the same, but of different pieces mounted one next to each other .
Sheets of old computers, switchboards, electronic machines, which seem to mingle and converse, remembering what was their original essence: being transmitters, exchangers and connectors of information and data, live electrical impulses .
After dialogued digitally and electronically, these old circuit boards and these obsolete electronic cards now can find themselves a new and different life (the paint glazed body is the symbol of this aesthetic renewal). They remain so ideally in connection with each other, side by side with no apparent differences, but actually unique because they have each sent billions of different information, unique unrepeatable, not replicable.
Similarly, like them, even the binary strings generated and transmitted were apparently all the same, but actually they’re all completely different and have seen billions of endless combinations of Zero and One, timeless, never the same .
These electronic and digital components, now abandoned and death, are for me the representation of the individual human identity.
The binary information and combinations they have transmitted they become all the billions of events, words, sounds, gestures and images that are generated and mixed worldwide every second in an infinite universe of combinations.
Single Zero and One: an infinite universe of strings.
